Would it look bad if I were to cosplay as vampire knight but be my own character?

I don't feel like wearing a wig, (im a girl) I'm going to be playing a guy but would I look stupid if I'd be in the night class, technoly it's like making up my own character BUT i'd be a guy and just be kind of.........well I'd just be a random person wearing night class clothes but looking hella good with my slightly long hair
